What's For Dinner Wednesday... 5 Minute Ham...

You ever had one of those days when you don't feel like cooking at all? You start watching the clock knowing that at some point you HAVE to put something on the table for the starving mouths you feed... but you just don't have the energy to spend hours in the kitchen. Look no further! This is definitely a recipe you want to have on hand. Not only is it fabulously quick and easy... it is super budget friendly too!

Here's what you need:

The ham comes already pre-sliced and this is only half of the package... I had already taken out the meat I had used for the evening. The whole package of ham costs around $7 at Walmart.
Stir together a generous half a cup of the peach preserves with 1 to 2 tbsp of spicy brown mustard then layer the bottom of your pan with ham!

Spoon about half the mixture over the ham:

Add another layer of ham:

Spoon the remaining mixture over the top.

Bake at 350 for 20 mins or until it is bubbling and the edges of the ham are just browned. Serve with mashed potatoes (potato pearls or the ones in the red carton from Sam's Club) and corn or your favorite sides. Voila! Dinner is served!

If you want it even faster or don't want to turn on the oven at all, just throw it in a large frying pan on top of the stove and cook till bubbly and warmed through. Sometimes I add a small can of pineapple chunks over the top with juice for variation. The fam gobble it up!

Do you have a 5 minute meal you go to in a pinch? I'd love to hear about it! :)
