House Cleaning 101...

I told my kids last week that from now on, Saturday mornings we are going to work as a family to clean up the house. (I know, meanest mom EVER!) The thing is, the chores just aren't getting done during the week. We have WAY too much going on... (you know, like blogging and facebook and watching football!)

DeAnna found this completely unacceptable as Saturday morning simply does not exist to her. (She sleeps till at least noon!) So on Friday night while Mike and I were on a date eating Chinese Food and browsing the stores she decided to do her part of the cleaning. She chose the vacuuming (the entire house) and sweeping the entrance hall. After finishing up, she thought she would go the extra mile and give the wood floor in the entrance hall a deep clean. She went searching through the cleaners and found this which had a picture of some wood on the front of it (so naturally, it would be perfect to clean the floor with):

I am not sure which is funnier... watching Mike Jr fall on his rear about ten times since then or watching the puppy go sliding across the floor every time she runs to the door or comes down the stairs. LOL :) Love ya Dee! ♥

You know somethings really funny when you start laughing before you get to the punch line. I love Dee, that makes two of the best stories from her. The first being Levi Strauss not being Levi's. Awesome. At least she cleaned.

What a great lesson on why we should read the label before using cleaning products.

I'm impressed that you raised a daughter who takes the initiative to clean your wood floors. What a nice kid!

Cute. Good for you getting them all involved. (And even when you are not home!)

I am having a great time picturing everyone fall on their bums. That is funny. :) Hopefully it will be less slippery when we drop by.

Hilarious! Your family is too funny. First of all, I'm impressed she was cleaning while you were away. Second of all, I'm impressed you were on a date with your hubby. (I guess you can do that often when your kids are old enough to stay home on their own). Good for you guys for going out!
